Gelotto entered the scene in the IBC in June of 2022, initiating its project with the airdrop of its native GLTO token. The project began with a very ambitious roadmap for Year 1. (Link: Original Year 1 Roadmap)
After three months, Gelotto has made great strides, which have included completing many milestones from the original roadmap ahead of schedule, and accomplishing other milestones that were not originally included. However, in the interest of prioritizing quality over speed, and especially to allow the incorporation of suggestions and feedback from the Gelotto community, other items in the roadmap have been moved forward from the estimated dates in the original roadmap.
The most noteworthy changes to the original roadmap are as follows:
The official launch of the Gelotto platform on mainnet has been moved from Q3 2022 to Q4 2022 (estimated November). This has been done to allow more advanced user interface features to be incorporated (including many features suggested by the Gelotto community), and to allow Gelotto to build its own RPC servers to support the Juno network and allow for faster and uninterrupted access to lottery games
Gelotto intends to add one or more dice games to the platform (a new addition to the roadmap) at the time of the official launch or shortly after, and also implement the ability to stake the GLTO token to act as "the house" for these dice games
Gelotto initiated a soft-launch of mainnet lottery games in Q3 2022, which will continue to run as the platform is developed. (Link: Gelotto lottery games) This milestone was not in the original roadmap but has allowed debugging to begin early and highlighted the need for Gelotto to build its own RPC servers
Gelotto initiated validators on the Juno, Stars, Evmos, Osmo, and Kuji networks in Q3 2022. Originally, these milestones were not intended until Q4 2022 for Juno and Q1 2023 for Stars. The Evmos, Osmo, and Kuji validators are new additions that were not included in the original roadmap. Gelotto also intends to initiate validators on the Scrt and Atom networks (new additions to the roadmap), with a target date of Q1 2023
Gelotto has announced that it intends to create three NFT series and released the first series in Q3 2022. (Link: Gelotto Shoppe NFT Launchpad) This milestone was originally not intended until Q2 2023. Target dates for the second and third NFT series are Q1 2023 and Q2 2023, respectively
Allowing players to create lottery games having custom parameters has been moved from a prospective future development to a definite milestone with a target date of Q4 2022. Use of this feature will require spending or burning GLTO, creating an additional use case for the token
Virtual NFT animal racing has been added as a future project (target date of Q1 2023), which will combine NFTs, event parameters, and betting in many exciting ways

Based on feedback from the Gelotto community regarding requested features, the official launch of the Gelotto platform has been moved from Q3 2022 to Q4 2022 (estimated November of 2022). At launch, the goal will be for the platform to feature interfaces that enable the status of multiple games to be determined using a single screen, and statistics regarding the game history of participants to be tracked.
Stretch goals include launching the platform with one or more dice games and the ability to stake the GLTO token as the house, or adding these features shortly after the platform is launched.
To help meet these goals, Gelotto has added additional coders to the team (dark phoenix#5406 and cheddarwhizzy#6562 on Gelotto's Discord server).
The first annual Gelotto Grand Prize game is intended to be held one year after the Gelotto platform launches. Due to the above change to the roadmap, the Grand Prize game is now intended to begin in Q4 of 2023.
Gelotto's soft-launched mainnet lottery games will continue to occur normally. The developers have coded a tool that enables new games to be created with a variety of parameters, by any user having access to the tool. This tool will be used as the initial framework when the ability for Gelotto holders to create customized games is added to the platform.
Gelotto has also begun building its own RPC servers to support the Juno network (on which the Gelotto platform runs). Connectivity to the soft-launched games has sometimes been prevented due to rate-limiting by existing servers. The addition of dedicated Gelotto servers will both help support the Juno network and ensure continuous connectivity to the Gelotto platform going forward.

In the original roadmap, Gelotto intended to launch an NFT series in Q2 of 2023, with the NFTs providing benefits for various games on the Gelotto platform.
Gelotto has broadened this idea and intends to launch three NFT series.
Currently, Gelotto offers lottery-style games, but intends to expand to include other games of chance.
Dice games have been added to the roadmap and are planned for Q4 2022.
Slots and blackjack remain on the roadmap and are also intended to be added in Q4 2022.
Roulette, craps, and video poker, included in the original roadmap for Q1 2023, remain in the updated roadmap.
Gelotto has also added virtual NFT animal racing to the roadmap, planned for Q1 2023. These games may combine NFTs that represent animals having various traits with event parameters (such as racetrack conditions, weather, etc.), and potentially additional NFTs (such as gear or consumable items for animals), to determine unique odds for every game.
Poker and other multiplayer games remain on the roadmap, as do games based on real world events (such as sports betting), planned for Q4 2023.

While the mainnet launch of the Gelotto platform and the first annual Grand Prize game are being delayed, the improvements to the interface and infrastructure are expected to be worth the additional time, and the other milestones that have happened ahead of schedule have positioned Gelotto to become known in the IBC, to support various networks, and to accrue funding for the Grand Prize game.
Until the launch of the Gelotto platform, Gelotto will continue to offer its soft-launched mainnet lottery games, operate validators (and create new validators) to support the IBC, and develop new game ideas with the input of the community.
